When the elevated Westway motorway was created across North Kensington, a mile of dereliction was created beneath. Working for voluntary regeneration group, North Kensington Amenity Trust, over a 15 year period, FSP helped create a whole range of community facilities – sports halls, pitches, community centre, small parks, fitness centre, youth clubs and training centre, together with small workshops, business units, shops and offices housing some 500 jobs. Income from the commercial space financed the community facilities and has now enabled the Trust to become a grant making body.
