FSP were the physical planning member of a team commissioned by Trafford MBC, central government and local major manufacturers to devise a strategy for the regeneration of the 2000 acre Trafford Park. We undertook a review of the built fabric and environment and contributed to proposals for regeneration. The implementation strategy led to the formation of Trafford Park Development Corporation who subsequently commissioned the practice to implement proposals for Trafford Park Village. In addition to overall planning, compulsory purchase public enquiry, infrastructure and environmental improvement work, we undertook conversion and restoration of the main publicly-funded areas, including a street of small shops/cafes with offices over, business centre, the St Antony Training Centre converted from an old school and restoration of the church.
